Adults require dialogue to learn, grow, process, and act. How often does your faith community engage in meaningful conversation? Do your catechetical offerings create space for dialogue? Do your gatherings inspire creative ideas for action and deepen relationships? Jesus’ did. This training session explores how principles for community organizing and adult learning can enhance faith-based dialogue and adult faith formation. Participants will learn how to structure community dialogues, including how to arrange the physical space and how to pose questions that call forth dialogue. They will practice presentation and listening skills, as well as learn techniques for follow up engagement. This training is ideal for DREs, ministers and volunteers who are responsible for Sacramental preparation. This training is also useful for parish council members, PTUs, and ministry teams.
A typical CSCD training is 3-hours and requires a minimum of six participants. This training is delivered onsite and in person.
